Want to join the FSJ staff and can’t attend meetings? Here’s how-

Are you having trouble making it to FSJ meetings because you don’t know when they are, or too busy? Find out below about how to fixed our constitution to give more access to students who are too busy and can’t attend.

Many students would like to contribute to the Front Street Journal , but it can be a hassle driving to campus to attend for the monthly meetings on Sunday afternoons.

This is going to change.

FSJ has amended its constitution to allow students to participate as regular staffers via a remote link through RACC’s internet tool, Canvas.

Once a student signs up in person at a regular meeting, he or she will be given instructions on how to participate in further meetings through Canvas. Students can watch a video feed on their home computer, laptop or tablet and vote on issues in a chat room.

Students on the go can receive an access code on their cell phone and participate even if they are not near another computer.

All students are encouraged to contribute to their college newspaper. The editors welcome news reports, reviews, feature articles, teacher profiles, commentary, as well as poetry, photos and video submissions.

Regular monthly meetings are held the first or second Sunday of the month in the Tower Room on the third floor of the Yocum Library. The next meeting is this Sunday, March 4th, at 2 p.m.If anyone has any further questions regarding FSJ or how to be in the meeting via Canvas, please feel free to contact
