Front Street Journal wins three Keystone Press Awards

Reading Area Community College’s student newspaper, the Front Street Journal, scored three victories in the 2018 Student Keystone Press Awards, Division III, for two-year colleges.

Brett Schultz earned first place in the Column category for his entries headlined “Clicking ‘buy’; Give me liberty — or give me likes; Locking down your PC.”

Joshua R. Templin placed second in the review category for his piece called “Woman Town.”

Amanda O’Donahue scored an honorable mention for her Editorial “A True Record.”

Winners will be honored at the Student Keystone Press Awards luncheon during the America East Media Business & Technology Conference on Wednesday, March 14, in Hershey.

The Keystone Press Awards reinforce excellence by individuals in the news media profession, by recognizing journalism that consistently provides relevance, integrity and initiative in serving readers, and faithfully fulfills its First Amendment rights/responsibilities. Further, the Keystone Press Awards stimulate journalists to improve their craft and ultimately improve their community.
