Once again, Phi Theta Kappa is conducting a Better World Books collection to help students and faculty clear their shelves of recent college textbooks they no longer want.
Phi Theta Kappa is sponsoring a used textbook drive. Donations of new or used college textbooks, workbooks, study guides, and other books that can be used in a college level course will be collected.
Books should be clean and in legible condition with copyright dates within the past 10 years. We cannot accept books that are dirty, moldy; water damaged, or books with missing covers or pages. Collection boxes are located in the SUB by the Ravens Nest and in Berks Hall next to the Bookstore.
For the past several years the chapter has partnered with Better World Books, an organization that collects and sells books online to fund literacy initiatives worldwide. Their core business value is to help fund high-impact literacy projects in the United States and around the world while reducing environmental impact by reselling, reusing, or recycling every book donated. Read their entrepreneurial story at this link: https://www.betterworldbooks.com/info.aspx?f=beginning
The proceeds from the resale of your donated items will go to support the following programs:
· The National Center for Family Literacy, a Better World Books agency
· Phi Theta Kappa Chapter to help support our local service projects
Please consider donating your textbooks.
